I had one 0Y game in Dec, thus extending my streak of months with at least one such game to nine.

This is the sixth time I have finished a game in 2 guesses. This is the first time this month and the first time during this streak that I have finished a game in 2 guesses. This is the fourth consecutive month that I finished at least one game in 2 guesses. I have finished at least one game in each of the three streaks that I have had so far in 2 guesses.

This is the fourth time I have finished a game without any yellow letters. It is the second time this month and the first time during my current streak that has happened.

I’m halfway through the month of December and my average score for this month is 3.43. My average score for my current streak is 3.55.

I thought this was going to be a fast game when I saw how many green and yellow letters I got with my first guess. I was wrong. I was surprised to see, after the dust had settled, that it only took me 4 guesses to finish this game. It definitely felt like it took more guesses than that.

This is the first time in the 142 games I have played that I have started a game with 2.3.2. It is just the fourth time that I have got 5 letters on my first guess. I still have yet to get 6 or 7 letters on my first guess.

This one took me a while. It took a lot of thinking and playing with the letters before I found my third guess. I did not consult my list of start words this time around.

It has been more than three months since the last time I started with 1.3.3 and finished in three guesses.

This didn’t take long, a few minutes at most. I considered a couple other words for my third guess but knowing that the second letter was H really helped to limit the possible guesses.

This is just the ninth time that I have started a game with 1.2.2. The last time I started a game with 1.2.2 was on on Oct 31. I also finished that game in three guesses.

I did not get lucky here. There were lots of possibilities by the time I got to my last guess. The right answer occurred to me but I decided to go with the first word that came to mind.

This the second time I have not solved the non-NYT 5-letter game.

I spent about 20 minutes on this game. Considering what my second guess was I think I should have finished this game much faster than I did. A win is better than a loss but I am not proud of how long it took me to get to the correct answer.
