That was close but I’m pretty sure that there was just one possible answer after my fifth guess.

This is the 13th time that I have had a game in which there was more than 16 black letters. This is the fourth time this year this has happened. It happened five times in 2025 and four times prior to that. Six of the 14 times it has happened have been games that I did not complete successfully. It has only happened once in a game that didn’t go the distance.

This is the second time this month that I have started a game with 0.0.5 and successfully finished it in 6 guesses. This is the fourth time that I have had this happen twice in a calendar month. I’ve never had it happen more than twice in a calendar month.

This is the first and only time this month that I have only found one letter from the answer in my first three guesses. This is the sixth time this year and 18th time overall that this has happened. The last time it happened was 04/24/26.

I finished ten more games in 5 or 6 guesses than I did in 1 to 3 guesses. That’s only exceeded by Jul 2025 when that count was 13 games. This is the sixth consecutive month that I have finished more games in 5 or 6 guesses than I have in 1 to 3 guesses. Prior to now I had never had this happen more that three months in a row.

I only finished two games in 3 guesses this month. That’s the fewest number of games I have ever finished in 3 guesses in a calendar month. I usually finish seven or eight games per month in 3 guesses.
