I considered making my third guess VIDEO but at that point I wanted to play a word with three consonants and two vowels. EMOJI wasn’t on my radar screen until I saw that it was a possibility. I was 4 guesses and over 22 minutes into this game at that point. Given my lack of success in finding any other word that fit, I didn’t think about it very much before giving it a try.

This is my first 5G game in over 6 weeks, 44 days to be precise. My longest streak without a 5G game lasted over 8 weeks, 59 days to be precise. This was my fourth longest streak without a 5G game.

This is my first 5G game this month. This is the 12th consecutive month that I have had at least one 5G game. I have had at least one 5G game in 47 of the past 52 months.

This is my 106th 5G game but this is just the seventh time that it has taken me 5 guesses to complete a 5G game. Six of those seven games have happened in the past 9 months. I have yet to complete a 5G game in 6 guesses.

This is the first game this month that it has taken me over 20 minutes to complete.

I’m pretty sure that there was only one possible answer after my fourth guess.

I usually don’t play words that sound like the past tense of another word, like NOTED, but I’m pretty sure that can also be an adjective.

This is my second 12345 game this month, third one this year, and 23rd one overall. This is the second time that I have had a 12345 game that had just eight green letters. I’ve never had a 12345 game with fewer than eight green letters.

I probably should have gone with Plan B. I’m kind of incredulous that I got this one.

After my second guess I thought that maybe I should have tried AMPLE instead of ANKLE. It would have got me the M and I might have finished the game in fewer guesses.

I considered making AWARE my second guess.

I’m not sure if there were any other possible answers after my fifth guess.

One letter can make a big difference. If my second guess had been CRISP then I might have finished this game faster although I doubt that SEPIA would have been been my third guess under those circumstances. 

I tried quite a few words that were not in the list of playable words. I fully expected POPIA to be rejected for that reason.
