I probably spent at least half my time on my fifth guess but I wasn’t exactly flying through the game up to that point.

This is the sixth time during my current winning streak that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 5 guesses. This matches the number of games that I started with 1.0.4 and finished in 5 guesses during my eighth winning streak (213 games) and is only exceeded by the numbers of times (14) I managed to do this during my 10th winning streak (443 games).

This is the first time since early December 2025 that it has taken me over 15 minutes to finish a game.

I considered making BROOM my third guess right after I saw the results of my second guess. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with other possible third guesses. I don’t know why BLOOM didn’t occur to me until after I finally gave BROOM a try.

I thought of MOOCH as a possible answer when I was working on my second guess but I didn’t try it then because it had two Os. It seemed more likely that it could be the answer after my third guess.

This is only the fourth time that my next to last guess has been 1.0.4 and that I have finished the game in 4 guesses. The first of those games happened on 06/22/23 and was a Plan B game so it looked nothing like today’s game. The second happened on 07/24/23 and started with 0.0.5 and looked not too dissimilar from today’s game. The third happened on 07/17/24 and looked fairly similar to today’s game.
