I played my first two guesses in probably less than a minute. There was just one possible answer after my second guess (according to the bot) but the word wasn’t one with which I was familiar. I tried mixing up the four letters I had in all kinds of ways before I finally gave ASTER a try.

I spent most of my time on my fourth guess. It took me a long time, probably over 10 minutes (to go from three to four) even though there was only one possible answer, according to the bot. In all fairness to myself, I didn’t know there was just one possible answer and I have managed to find playable words (in the past) that are not possible answers.

I was a bit nervous about starting with two green letters and wondered if I should turn off hard mode but I was reassured by the fact I’ve never failed to successfully complete a game in which I found two consonants with my first guess. My third guess narrowed the possible answers down to just one word (according to the bot) although it didn’t immediately come to mind.

This is the first time this month, third time during my current winning streak, and 18th time overall that I have started a game with 2.0.3 and finished it in 4 guesses. My only other winning streak in which I had more than 2 games with this start / finish combination was my 10th (443 games) in which it happened 6 times.

My third guess narrowed it down to just two possible answers. I thought about making LIKEN my fourth guess but I thought of LIVEN first so I went with that. The bot seems to think that INLET would have been a more efficient third guess for me but I fail to see the logic in that because LIKEN would still have been a possible answer.
