I spent most of my time on my fourth guess. It quickly became apparent to me that there was more than three possible answers remaining. I thought of a few. According to the bot there were five after my third guess but just one after my fourth guess.

I spent most of my time on my second guess. There were all sorts of words i could have played. There were over 600 possible answers after my first guess, according to the bot. My second guess eliminated about 95% of those possible answers and my third got it down to just one possible answer.

This is the second time that my next to last guess has been 0.5.0. The first time it happened was 04/02/22 which was also a 5G game that I finished in 4 guesses but which had more yellow and less black than there was in my game today.

I knew my third guess couldnt be the answer and yet I tried it anyway. There were 14 possible answers, according to the bot, after my second guess. My third guess narrowed it down to just two possible answers. The word I didn’t try was SHOVE although it did occur to me as a possibile answer.

This is the 10th time this month that it has taken me 4 guesses to finish a game. This is the 15th consecutive month in which I have finished at least 10 games in 4 guesses. I have finished at least 10 games in 4 guesses in 46 of the past 55 months.

Yesterday was the 128th game of my current winning streak. Today’s game is the 128th time that I have started a game with 0.0.5 and finished it in 4 guesses.

I thought of WAKEN a few minutes before I decided to give it a try. I had no idea how many possible answers there were at that point but given that I had only found one of the consonants I thought it made sense to play it safe and spend som3 time looking for other possible answers.

As it turns out, according to the bot, there were just three possible answers after my third guess. WAXEN was the only one of those words that I did not try.

I saw two possible answers after my third guess. I looked for others possible answers but I couldn’t find any. I learned after the fact that, according to the bot, my assessment was correct. I went with the first one that came to mind. The other word was SNOOP.

This is the third day in a row that I have had a GB game. That’s a game in which there is an equal number of green and black letters and a lesser number of yellow letters.
