I spent most of my time on my fourth guess. I thought of TWEEN but then I tried to think of other words that had five different letters. I spent a few minutes of looking for alternatives before I decided to give it a try.

This is my fifth 14.2.14 game or game that consisted of 14 green, 2 yellow, and 14 black letters. It is the first such game to start with 0.0.5 or in which my next to last guess was 4.0.1.

It finally happened. I didn’t have to but I decided that it made sense to go with Plan B because I saw at least four possible answers after my third guess. I had been playing in hard mode for a couple months but I decided that enough was enough. I would rather preserve my winning streak, which I did, than lose because I was too proud to turn off hard mode.

This is the first time this month that I have started a game with 1.2.2. I have started at least one game with 1.2.2 in 33 of the past 50 months.

This is the first time this month and fifth time overall that I have started a game with 1.2.2 and finished it in 5 guesses. I have yet to lose a game that I have started with 1.2.2. I have finished less than 12.5% (6/49) of the games I have started with 1.2.2 in more than 4 guesses.

I’m not sure how many possible answers there were after my second guess. CLUMP was the first one I stumbled across.

This is the first time this month and 26th time overall that I have started a game with 0.0.5 and finished it in 3 guesses.

This is the fifth time that I have gone from 0.0.5 to 1.1.3 with my first two guesses to nailing it with my third guess. The four prior times this happened all occurred in either 2022 (03/11/22, 07/28/22) or 2025 (01/18/25, 03/08/25).

That was kind of scary. I really wasn’t sure about my sixth guess. For some reason it didn’t occur to me until then that the second letter might be E.

I thought about making WEAZE my sixth guess but I thought of WEAVE first so that’s what I went with.
