I thought of WAKEN a few minutes before I decided to give it a try. I had no idea how many possible answers there were at that point but given that I had only found one of the consonants I thought it made sense to play it safe and spend som3 time looking for other possible answers.

As it turns out, according to the bot, there were just three possible answers after my third guess. WAXEN was the only one of those words that I did not try.

This is the first time this month that I have started a game with 0.1.4 and finished it in 5 guesses. This is the sixth consecutive month that I have started at least one game with 0.1.4 and finished it in 5 guesses. I saw two possible answers after my third guess. I looked for others possible answers but I couldn’t find any. I learned after the fact that, according to the bot, my assessment was correct. I went with the first one that came to mind. The other word was SNOOP.

This is the third day in a row that I have had a GB game. That’s a game in which there is an equal number of green and black letters and a lesser number of yellow letters. I’ve had it happen twice in a row and three out of four games but this is the first time I’ve had it happen in three consecutive games.

I also considered making USING my third guess. I’m glad I went with MINUS. It narrowed the possible answers down to just two words, according to the bot. The only other possible answer after my third guess was TORUS.
