I probably should have gone with Plan B. I’m kind of incredulous that I got this one.

After my second guess I thought that maybe I should have tried AMPLE instead of ANKLE. It would have got me the M and I might have finished the game in fewer guesses.

I considered making AWARE my second guess.

I’m not sure if there were any other possible answers after my fifth guess.

That was kind of scary. I really wasn’t sure about my sixth guess. For some reason it didn’t occur to me until then that the second letter might be E.

I thought about making WEAZE my sixth guess but I thought of WEAVE first so that’s what I went with.

This was not my proudest moment playing this game. My fourth and fifth guesses were attempts to find or eliminate letters. For the most part those guesses were helpful I just failed to find the correct answer.

This is the second time I have started a game with 1.1.3 and failed to complete it successfully. The previous time this occurred was on Mar 16, 2022.

I finished this streak earlier than I would have liked to have finished it but it was good while it lasted. My average score during this streak was 3.75 without counting this game and 3.88 with it. Both are record lows for me.

Some of the statistics for this streak do stand out. I finished eight games or 50 percent of my games in the streak in 3 guesses. Usually I finish 25.85 of my games in 3 guesses. This was not a fast game. I really wondered if my streak was over. I made the mistake of not trying any other vowels in my second and third guesses and I almost paid the price for that. I considered playing INANE as early as my 4th guess but because it had two Ns I held off until I had tried some other words.

This is the first game in this streak that it took 6 guesses to finish. I average two 6 guess games per month but it has been over 2 months since the last time (Aug 27) it took me 6 guesses to finish a game. This is just the second time that I started a game with 0.2.3 and finished it in 6 guesses. The previous time was over 5 months ago, on Jun 1.
