I’m pretty sure that I had it down to just two possible answers after my third guess, my fourth and fifth guesses. I tried them in the order that they occurred to me.

I probably spent about half my time on my second guess.

Three words came to mind after my second guess: MUMMY, GUMMY, RUMMY. I chose to go with RUMMY because R occurs more frequently than M or G.

It didn’t take me long to pick my fourth guess after I saw the outcome of my third one.

I considered making COUCH for my second guess but then I thought of COUTH. Playing COUCH would not only have been a very risky play but as it turns out would not have been good risk to take. I think CATCH was the only possible answer after trying COUTH.
