I considered making HOVEL my fourth guess but I thought for some reason that it had bern the answer in the past. After my fourth guess it looked like the only possible answer.

Each of my guesses got me one letter closer to the answer until I nailed it with my fifth guess. This is the fourth time this has happened this this year and the 18th time this has happened since I started playing Wordle.

I tried the L in every position until I finally got it in the right one with my fifth guess.

This game breaks the tie between my second most common start / finish combinations in favor of 0.1.4 and 5 guesses for the first time since 07/12/23. Every game since that day’s game (until today) was either a tie or 0.2.3 and 4 guesses was in the lead.
