That’s it for March. Here are some stats. My average score for March was 4.19. This isn’t as high as the last couple months but it’s still much higher than my overall average of 4.04. I avoided having a third consecutive month in which my average score was 4.20 or higher but only by a hair. Maybe it was the one game I finished in 2 guesses that helped me to avoid the shame of making it three months in a row.

Twice this month I started a game with 0.2.3 and successfully finished it in 6 guesses. This is just the third time that has happened more than once in a calendar month. It has never happened more than twice in a calendar month.

I started five games with 0.1.4 this month. This isn’t the first time I’ve started only five games with 0.1.4 in a calendar month but I’ve never started fewer than five with 0.1.4 and this has only happened twice before. Another scary game! I played this one on hard mode. I decided I had two options after my fourth guess. This is my fourth winning streak to reach the 100 game mark. Here are some stats comparing the four streaks at the 100 game mark and comparing the streak to my overall statistics.

There are two things that stand out when I look at the stats. First, I started considerably more games with with all black letters (0.0.5) and considerably fewer with 2 yellow and 3 black letter (0.2.3) than I have in previous winning streaks. Second the balance between games I finished in 1 to 3 guesses versus 5 or 6 guesses (+/- 4) was in favor of games I finished 5 or 6 guesses to a much larger degree than in previous winning streaks.
