I didn’t scrutinize my third guess carefully enough. I should not have selected a word that had E in the same place as in my first guess.

After my fourth guess I saw three possibilities but I had just two guesses left so I had to take evasive maneuvers. 

This game ended a streak of 16 games in which I didn’t finish any games in 6 guesses.

This is just the seventh time that I have started a game with 0.2.3 and finished it in 6 guesses. I have finished the overwhelming majority (99/110) of the games I started with 0.2.3 in 3, 4, or 5 guesses. I have failed to successfully complete more games (4) that started with 0.2.3 than with any other combination of green, yellow, and black. I have yet to start a game with 0.2.3 and finish it in 2 guesses.

DADDY was the first word that occurred to me after my second guess but I decided to play it safe and try some other words first. 

This is the fourth time this month that I have started a game with 1.0.4. This is the seventh time this month that I have finished a game in 5 guesses. This is the first time this month that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 5 guesses. This is the third consecutive month that I have started at least one game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 5 guesses but there have been a number of months (10/20) when I haven’t had any games that I started with 1.0.4 and finished in 5 guesses.

That’s it for September. Ten days into the month it looked like I was on a pace to set some new personal records for games finished in 4 guesses, games started with 1.0.4, and games started with 1.0.4 and finished in 4 guesses but I fell short in all three categories. 

On the whole it wasn’t a terribly noteworthy month. I finished all my games in 6 guesses or less but nothing else really stands out about the games I played in September. My average number of guesses per game was down when compared to the last couple months but nowhere near my lowest monthly average.

This is the second consecutive game that I have started with 1.0.4. This is the ninth time that I have started games with 1.0.4 on consecutive days. I have never started games with 1.0.4 on more than 2 consecutive days. 

This is the second time that I have had 0Y games on consecutive days. The other time this happened was on Mar 9 and Mar 10. That time it took me a combined 10 guesses to finish those games as compared to just 5 guesses this time.

It is always nice to have a game turn out like this one did. It does mean that tying my monthly record for games finished in 4 guesses is now out of reach for this month. 

This is the second time this month that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and the second time this month that I have finished a game in 2 guesses but it is the first time this month that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 2 guesses.

This is just the second time ever that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 2 guesses. The only other time I started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 2 guesses was on Nov 9, 2022. 

This is my fourth 0Y game this month, 13th 0Y game this streak, and overall it is my 48th 0Y game. It is just the eighth time I have finished a 0Y game in 2 guesses. Six of the eight 0Y games that I finished in 2 guesses happened during my my longest streak.
