That’s it for March. Here are some stats. My average score for March was 4.19. This isn’t as high as the last couple months but it’s still much higher than my overall average of 4.04. I avoided having a third consecutive month in which my average score was 4.20 or higher but only by a hair. Maybe it was the one game I finished in 2 guesses that helped me to avoid the shame of making it three months in a row.

Twice this month I started a game with 0.2.3 and successfully finished it in 6 guesses. This is just the third time that has happened more than once in a calendar month. It has never happened more than twice in a calendar month.

I started five games with 0.1.4 this month. This isn’t the first time I’ve started only five games with 0.1.4 in a calendar month but I’ve never started fewer than five with 0.1.4 and this has only happened twice before. The two prior months in which I started only five games with 0.1.4 were Jun 2022 and Apr 2023.

I finished four of the five games I started with 0.1.4 in four guesses and one in six guessses. For the first time, since I started playing Wordle, I went a whole calendar month without starting a game with 0.1.4 and finishing in either 3 or 5 guesses.

I started nine games with 0.0.5. This just the second time that I have started more than eight games with 0.0.5 in a calendar month. The previous time this happened was in Nov 2025 when I started 12 games with 0.0.5.

I started more games this month with 0.0.5 and 0.2.3 than I did with 0.1.4. This is just the second time that 0.1.4 has been the third most common start combination. The previous time this happened was in Apr 2023.

I did not have any games this month that started with 0.1.4 that I finished in 5 guesses. This is just the third calendar month in which this has happened. The last time this happened was in Nov 2023 and the other time this happened was in Apr 2023.

I did not have any games this month that started with 0.1.4 that I finished in 3 guesses. This is just the fourth calendar month in which this has happened. The last time this happened was in Dec 2024 and the other times this happened were in Mar 2022 and Jul 2022.

I had the right idea with my second guess but I really got lucky with my fourth guess.

This is the first time this month and this winning streak that I have started a game with 2.0.3 and finished it in 4 guesses. The last time I started a game with 2.0.3 and finished it in 4 guesses was in May 2025. This is the 15th time that I have started a game with 2.0.3 and finished it in 4 guesses.

This is my second 0Y game this month. This is the 24th consecutive month that I have had at least one 0Y game. I’ve had at least two 0Y games in 23 of the past 24 months.

This is the ninth time that I have started a 0Y game with 2.0.3 and the first time since Dec 2024 that I have started a 0Y game in this manner.

Another scary game! I played this one on hard mode. I decided I had two options after my fourth guess. Turn off hard mode or check to see which of the three words I imagined could be the answer had already been the answer in the past. I chose the latter and found that FIXER had already been the answer in the past but that neither BIKER nor WISER had.

I suppose that RISER was another possible answer but that didn’t occur me until after the fact.

This is the fourth time that I have successfully finished back to back games in 6 guesses. The last time this happened was in Oct 2024. The other two times this happened were in Jan 2023 and Feb 2023.

This is the third time that I have started a game with 0.2.3 and successfully finished it in 6 guesses during my current winning streak. This ties the mark I set during my eighth winning streak (213 games) and is only exceeded by the 7 times it happened during my 10th winning streak (443 games).
