This was just the third time that I started a game with 1.1.3 and finished it in 5 guesses. The previous time this happened was on Apr 15.

That's it for November. My average score for the month was exactly 4. I had a lower average score in October (3.81) but that was my best month by far. I had two 5G games and three 0Y games this month. The only other month when I had more than one 5G game was in July when I had five of them. This month's tally of 0Y games ties my current record which also happened in July.

This is the third game in a row that started with 0.1.4. Four of the last five games have started with 0.1.4 and I have finished four of the last five games in 3 guesses.

This is my second 5G game this month, fourth one during my current streak, and 13th one overall. This is just the second time I have had more than one 5G game in a month and just the second time I have had more than one 5G game in a streak.

Three of the four 5G games during my current streak and both of the games during this month started with 0.1.4. Prior to this streak none of the 5G started with 0.1.4.

This didn’t take too long but I agonized over my last two guesses. After my fourth guess I could see that there were three possibilities but I only had two guesses left. I considered playing FEAST as my fifth guess just because it is thanksgiving but I decided instead to play the words in the order that they occurred to me. I was happy to see that the correct answer was not YEAST.

This is the ninth time that I have started a game with 0.1.4 and finished it in 6 guesses. The last time I started a game with 0.1.4 and finished it in 6 guesses was exactly 3 months ago on Aug 24.

This is the 20th time it has taken me 6 guesses to successfully finish a game. I started three quarters of those games with no green letters. One of those games I started with two green letters, three of those I started with one green letter, and one of those games was within my first fifteen games when I wasn’t keeping track of how I started games.

This is just the second time I have started a game with 0.3.2 this month. This is the first time this month that a game has ended with more yellow letters than either green or black letters. It is just the sixth time that this has happened since I started tracking my games in March. It has never happened more than once per month and it has not happened every month.

This is just the third time since I started playing that the answer has not included any vowels. It has been almost four months since that last happened. The first time this happened the word was NYMPH (03/27/22) and the second time it was TRYST (07/22/22).

This is the second time since I started playing that I didn’t get any green or yellow letters on my first or second guess. The first time that happened was on May 25 which was also the first time that I got a 5G and a 0Y in the same game. The only other time that happened was one and only time I got the answer on the first guess.

This my third 0Y this month which ties my record that was set in July. I also reached this mark in October. This is my sixth 0Y this streak which ties my record that was set during my longest streak.

This is the third time in the last five games that I have started a game with 0.0.5 which usually happens about 12 percent of the time.

This was not short or sweet. I took my time with this one. It took more guesses than I wanted it to. There were lots of other possible correct answers but somehow I found the right one. I was nervous after my second guess because I could see that there was a myriad of possibilities. There seem to be some rules about words that end with ER and I tried to stick with them when I was picking my last three guesses and in the end it seems to have paid off but I think I also got lucky.

I finished the first 53 games in my current streak without it taking me 6 guesses to finish a game. This is the second time in the past 4 games that it has taken me 6 guesses to finish a game.

This is the first time I have started a game with 0.0.5 and finished it in 6 guesses since Aug 27. Usually (22/30) I am able to finish games that begin with 0.0.5 in three or four guesses. It is less common (8/30) for it to take me five or six guesses. I still have yet to lose a game that began with 0.0.5.

This was not a fast game. I really wondered if my streak was over. I made the mistake of not trying any other vowels in my second and third guesses and I almost paid the price for that. I considered playing INANE as early as my 4th guess but because it had two Ns I held off until I had tried some other words.

This is the first game in this streak that it took 6 guesses to finish. I average two 6 guess games per month but it has been over 2 months since the last time (Aug 27) it took me 6 guesses to finish a game. This is just the second time that I started a game with 0.2.3 and finished it in 6 guesses. The previous time was over 5 months ago, on Jun 1.

I was looking for a word for my second guess that also had an E but I couldn’t find one so I settled for RAINY.

This my 50th game in my current streak. This is my first game in this streak that I finished in 2 guesses. It is also the first game this streak that I did not finish in 3, 4, or 5 guesses. The last time I finished a game in 2 guesses was a little over 2 months ago on Sep 3. It is the first time I started a game with 1.0.4 and finished in 2 guesses and the first time I only had one letter (yellow or green) correct on my first guess and finished in 2 guesses. It is my sixth time overall finishing a game in 2 guesses. All six of those games have started differently.

This is my first 0Y this month. I have now had at least one 0Y in every month starting from April through November. It is my fourth 0Y this streak and my 15th one overall. It is the second time I have finished a game in 2 guesses without any yellow letters.

This is currently my second longest streak. My average score this streak is 3.76 which is lower than for any previous streaks. So far I have finished every game this streak in 2 (1), 3 (20), 4 (19), or 5 (10) guesses. The number of 3 guess games is nearing the number I had in my longest (95) streak when I had 24 such games. I have had three 5G games and four 0Y games during my current streak but I have yet to have a game that is both a 0Y and a 5G in my current streak.

Septle, once again, for the second day in a row, had a different word for today’s game. I’m not sure why. I finished it in 5 but I don’t think I’m going to track that.

This is the first time since Oct 2 that I have started a game with 1.0.4 and finished it in 4 guesses. This ends a streak of 4 games that I started with 1.0.4 and finished in 3 guesses.

Usually Septle and Wordle have the same 5-letter game. Today they weren’t the same. I wonder why? I got it in four on Septle but I didn’t notice the incongruity until I had typed in three of my guesses from playing on NYT.

This is my first 5G this month, third one during my current streak, and 12th one overall. My previous 5G happened exactly 3 weeks ago, on Oct 17. I have had at least 1 every month from April through November.

This was relatively easy but getting three of the letters on your first guess makes a big difference.

It is unusual for me to start with 0.3.2 which according to my records happens on average once every 20 games. My previous 0.3.2 on my first guess happened 59 days ago on Sep 4. The combination of starting with 0.3.2 and finishing in 3 guesses is not unusual. More often than not (7/12) if I start with with 0.3.2 then I finish it in 3 guesses.

This one took a few more guesses than I wanted it to but it probably didn’t take me more than 10 minutes to finish. I don’t think I wasted any guesses but it wasn’t until my fifth guess that I finally got the E in the right place.

Seven of the past ten games have begun with 0.1.4 even though on average that happens only about one-third of the time.

My current streak is now at 42 which ties the second longest of my previous streaks. It will take me seven-and-a-half weeks, until Christmas Eve, if I make it, to close the gap between my current streak and my longest one.
